The Oseborg and ship

Eric Grant March 3, 2016

Built before 800 A.D., the Oseberg and Gokstad ships were excavated from burial mounds in Norway in the late 1800s and early 1900s. Notably, Oseberg contained the remains of two women, one of which was thought to be in her 80s. The ships, along with other Viking vessels and artifacts, are housed in the Viking Ship Museum in Oslo.
